History Of The Abyssinian
Abyssinians were bred from a cat that was taken to England from Abyssinia (now Ethiopia) in 1868.
It was registered in Britain as a breed in 1882 making it one of the oldest on record.
This breed can be classed
as the clown of the cat world as it likes to get into everything and be everywhere all at once. Because of this, it
usually has a streamlined appearance compared to other breeds.
This breed is also one of the most affectionate,
coming to give you kisses and cuddles at any time of the day.
They come in five main colours – Tawny, Cinnamon,
Blue, Lilac, and Fawn. The Abyssinian should have almond shaped eyes, ears that are set wide, with points and tufts.
Be muscular in overall appearance, with a long tapering tail.
